BUSINESS PLAN 

Have a detailed business plan that analyzes cash flow and makes operation projections that are realistic. There may be advertising and promotional costs, continuing royalty payments, employee salaries and benefits and equipment leases.  Using a spreadsheet program may be very helpful.

Consider contacting franchisees from other industries or locales to find out how they financed their businesses.  Since you won't be in direct competition with them, they may be more open about discussing financing.  The Small Business Administration has several loan programs to assist you, and some local agencies may also help.  Some Fitness Franchises offer financing.
